Details of the first acts confirmed to play Streetfest 2012 have been announced, as well as news that the east London festival is set to double in capacity to 5000 people this year.

A celebration of urban culture, Streetfest has previously had the likes of Wretch 32, Ghostpoet, Professor Green and Mr Hudson gracing its stage, often serving as an indication of who's going to be hot in the coming months.

This year, May 6th will see AlunaGeorge, Piff Gang and the much-hyped Its Nate descending upon a Shoreditch car park to deliver the best in new urban music. DJ support will come from Urban Nerds' Rattus Rattus, Santigold tour DJ Martelo and Boiler Room co-founder Thristian BPM.

With a very special headline act still to be announced and a raft of graffiti artists and urban athletes to accompany the music, this one is set to go off. For more details and to buy tickets, head over to the official website here.
