Starkey

 

Starkey is back with his second album for Planet Mu, Ear Drums And Black Holes, on April 19th. Featuring collaborations with MCs and vocalists like Cerebral Vortex, Buddy Leezle, P-Money, Anneka and Kiki Hitomi it's shaping up to be one of the dubstep albums of the year. Here's the tracklisting:

If you can't wait until April for a Starkey fix then make sure you check his recently released Street Bass Anthems Vol. 4 on his own Seclusiasis label. Highlights include Plastic Little's DJ Siyoung and his bonkers heavy dubstep tune Fire!, Slugabed's reworking of the hip hop classic Simon Says and, of course, Starkey's offerings, which include the slick future r&b of Hair Redone and the bubblin' dub nod of Ferreals.

Seclusiasis will also be dropping the debut full-length album from BD1982 early in 2010, and Starkey's other label, Slit Jockey, has got a sick split 12" from Numan & SDUK followed by a digital single plus the long awaited Slit Jockey Mixtape Vol. 2.

Starkey also has plenty of remixes in the pipeline, look out for his takes on tracks by Rudi Zygadlo, Rusko ft. Rod Azlan, Uffie, Mr. Hudson ft. Kanye West, Mr. Rogers and Alka. His remix of Setback for a band called The Constellations from Atlanta is available to download for free.
