You probably know drum & bass producer Silent Witness from his involvement with the DNAudio label. Last year he set up his own imprint Triple Seed and they're currently onto their third release so we spoke to Silent Witness to find out more about the label.

Why did you set up Triple Seed?
The label was set up so I could just release whatever I wanted, when I wanted, and not have to enter into any unwilling coalitions.

Who is involved with running it?
It is just me running it with distribution taken care of by ST Holdings.

Can you tell us more about your key artists...
Silent Witness and friends, so anyone from just me to anyone I collaborate with, or both. So far I have had two solo singles and one collaboration with Break.

What do you look for in potential artists?

Exciting new sounds, humble attitude.

What's the ethos behind the label?
There is no set ethos as I wouldn't want to prevent the label from mutating into new forms. At the moment I am just trying to establish it as a quality dnb label, with potential to change into a quality music label of no particular genre. I would like the label to take its influences from a variety of different artistic perspectives, as I do.

What do you have coming out soon?

Kontrller b/w Abtn by Silent Witness and Break should be with you right about now, and I have collaborations with Survival, Vicious Circle, Break, and others coming.

Anything else you want to tell us about?
Watch this space for a Silent Witness artist album.
