Coinciding with two major events, the 17th birthday of seminal underground radio station Rinse FM and ten years of influential club night FWD>>, comes Rinse Presents: A Visual Retrospective – The Work Of Shaun Bloodworth & Give Up Art. The exhibition celebrates the history of the station, the Tempa label and the weekly club night through a showcase of album sleeves and flyers designed to tantalise your eye buds and help you to reach the dancefloor.
Shaun Bloodworth is an internationally-regarded photographer and filmmaker with a minimalist style that complements the Rinse brand and has thus become their go-to man for album portraits, he has also worked with the likes of Mary Anne Hobbs and held his first solo show earlier this year, 'Underground', documenting the rise of dubstep and other works.
Give Up Art is a graphic design company that has worked with Rinse and its associates to create an iconic and bold identity that stands tall in an overwhelming industry. Give Up Art has also worked with infamous artists like Benga and Skream on their album campaigns, as well as Bristol label Apple Pips.
The show runs at Shop 14 (near Hanbury Street), Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, London until August 22nd.
