RAMP

Please introduce yourself...
My name is Tom Kerridge, a.k.a. Tom@RAMP, a.k.a. The White Suge Knight. I manage and run the RAMP Recordings & BRAiNMATH labels.

What have been the highlights of 2009 for you?
2009 has been an bit of a crazy year for me, picking highlights is a bit of a nightmare. The best thing I suppose is working with all of the new artists on my labels, on a personal and musical level. Shortstuff, FaltyDL, P.U.D.G.E., the list goes on and on, and they are all super lovely.

What have been the highlights of the decade for you?

Getting new nieces and nephews, seeing my existing nephews turn into teenagers, my continuing relationships with my friends and family, starting RAMP, managing to somehow keep RAMP going..

How have things changed for you over the last ten years?
I'm now 30 instead of 20, but I'm still an arrogant twat.

What have you been doing recently?

Working, drinking too much, occasionally masturbating. Oh, I dislocated my shoulder the other day too, although not through masturbation.

Which artists should we look out for in 2010?
Computer Jay, P.U.D.G.E., James Blake, Sampha, Floating Points, Jam City, Airhead. Er... The Rustie album will probably be wicked, and the Clouds EP on RAMP may surprise a few people too.

What are your plans for 2010?
I do have another new label planned, but that's a secret at the moment. RAMP wise, we have albums and EPs coming from FaltyDL, P.U.D.G.E., Computer Jay, Tokimonsta, SBTRKT, Ras G, Shortstuff, Clouds, Desto, and a few people you may not know about yet.. BRAiNMATH upcoming bits includes Brackles, SBTRKT, Airhead, James Blake.

What are you most looking forward to in 2010?
I don't know what's going to happen in 2010 yet.
