Please introduce yourself...
Optical, owner Virus Recordings, DJ..

What have been the highlights of 2009 for you?
Getting our sixth album, Travel the Galaxy, finished and out there. 2009 has seen the label go from strength to strength with the addition of several new artists including Audio, Body & Soul and the return of Cause4Concern.

What have been the highlights of the decade for you?
There have been many but having my two sons and getting married were the biggest for me personally.

How have things changed for you over the last ten years?
Well, in music production we saw the end of the analogue era and a whole new way of making music using computer technology, the rise of the digital download and the music websites and the spread of drum & bass to every part of the globe.

What have you been doing recently?

Traveling the galaxy of nightclubs out there, and back in the studio with Ed Rush, getting some new tracks for 2010 done.

Which artists should we look out for in 2010?
Audio, who has already delivered half his album for Virus and it's sounding amazing.

What are your plans for 2010?
We have been putting together the next 12 months schedule for Virus, including an album project from Audio, singles from Prolix, Ed Rush & Optical and a new look for the label sleeves. We have started planning for our seventh artist album which will be released at the back end of 2010. We also have a single coming on the brand new Chemical Records imprint titled 'Crackball'.

What are you most looking forward to in 2010?

More great music to play and enjoy...
