Please introduce yourself...
Jehst aka Billy Brimstone aka Jeffrey Lebowski. MC, producer and head-honcho of YNR Productions.

What have been the highlights of 2009 for you?
The 'Home Grown' exhibition at Urbis in Manchester was one highlight. It's the first time that anyone has ever properly documented the history of hip hop in the UK and it was crazy to see it all laid out. Definitely a validation of what we do.

What have been the highlights of the decade for you?
Ten years ago I pressed up my first vinyl so it's been a roller-coaster ride from that point to where I am now. Having the privilege of traveling the world through my music and getting to work with a whole bunch of talented artists. Being on the same bill with legends like KRS One and Lee 'Scratch' Perry. Too many highlights to mention...

How have things changed for you over the last ten years?
Analog to digital. Watching hip hop music and the music industry in general go through so many changes and so much turmoil but learning to adapt and evolve with it and just treat it as a learning curve. I'm much more involved in the business nowadays, which is a double-edged sword!

What have you been doing recently?
What haven't I been doing! I'm constantly working myself into an early grave trying to balance touring, recording, producing and running the label.

Which artists should we look out for in 2010?
Jehst, Jehst and Jehst. And did I mention a guy called Jehst? He's pretty dope!

What are your plans for 2010?
We've got loads planned for next year. My new album The Dragon Of An Ordinary Family plus new albums from Kashmere and Verb T among other things. By this time next year Rodney, we'll be millionaires!

What are you most looking forward to in 2010?
I'm most looking forward to getting back out to Australia. I'm working on an album with a producer called M-Phazes and I can't wait to get back in the studio in Melbourne. Can't wait to get my new album out too! Ooooo-wee!!
