Please introduce yourself...
Rene from Bachelors Of Science, a DnB / electronica act based out of San Francisco.
What have been the highlights of 2009 for you?
While the world's economy and mood generally sucked ass, there have been a lot of bright spots and friends have actually stuck together through rough times. Never clearer than the Burning Man festival out here in the middle of the desert of Nevada. I also think that the next "rave generation" is in full swing, with young people coming together, partying their asses off and generally just having a great time listening (and creating) to all sorts of electronic music thanks to the likes of Daft Punk, Justice and more.
What have been the highlights of the decade for you?
Getting Bush out of office. Attending Burning Man. Being a teen again in my thirties. Moving to San Francisco. Actually finding out that people love the music we make. Meeting Natalie Portman.
How have things changed for you over the last ten years?
Too much to answer... but everything boils down to either personal relationships or things on the internet.
What have you been doing recently?
Recently finished our second album Warehouse Dayz which we're just absolutely thrilled with... please listen to it. Plan to do a bit of touring next.
Which artists should we look out for in 2010?
Hopefully us!
What are your plans for 2010?
Warehouse Dayz will be dropping in the first few months of 2010, you can also expect us branch out beyond DnB (while still being true to our roots). And we're working on a pretty special live experience... more to come.
Anything else you want to tell us about?
My one piece of advice to everyone is real simple. Don't be a dick, don't be afraid, and teach to others the best advice of what you know.
