Kode9

!K7 is a techno, house and electronica label from Berlin but it's made forays into other genres through its long-standing DJ-KiCKS compilation series. Kemistry & Storm did a great drum & bass DJ-KiCKS mix in 1999 as did Stereo MCs.

!K7 continue to attract some of the world's best electronic musicians for the series and recently announced three new mixes. Juan Maclean and James Holden are contributing to the series but it's mix from Kode9 on June 21st we're most interested in.

For the uninitiated, Kode9 is the stage name of Steve Goodman, a London-based university professor and electronic musician who also runs the highly influential Hyperdub imprint. As a selector perpetually ahead of the bass music curve, Kode9's mix will be a solid indication of things to come in the dubstep scene at large. Check the tracklisting:

  2. Aardvarck  Revo
