Pendulum

World renowned electronic drummer KJ Sawka has officially joined Pendulum. Sawka has already contributed to the recording of Pendulum's third album Immersion and will be introduced to UK audiences on the band's May tour.

Hailing from Seattle, Sawka was initially drawn to electronic music by the sounds of Dieselboy, LTJ Bukem and Roni Size. His first breakthrough came with the cult all-improvisatory avant-garde drum & bass trio Siamese who toured North America in 2002-2003 with shows ranging from support slots with LTJ Bukem and MC Conrad to a performance at the New Orleans Jazzfest. His recent career has included rapturously received solo shows, the development of iPhone app DrumBanger and a sample pack for Loopmasters / Hospital Records called KJ Sawka – Live Drum and Bass Drummer.

 

Sawka's sample pack contains a vast array of live drum & bass drum samples and loops with over 600MB of original content including 351 dry live drum loops captured through a vintage Neve console, 46 FX drum loops, over 100 live drum hits from multiple custom kits, percussion and top loops, and 19 drum kits pre-programmed for creating your own patterns, including full kits, percussion, cymbals, kicks, snares and FX kits.
