Heist

Metalheadz are to release a four-track EP by Heist in March and it might surprise the  people who think he only makes jump-up. "I've always been able to do stuff but it feels like people have forgotten that a bit so I did this EP," says Heist.

So how did the project come about? "Originally it started as a single track, Over Again, for a various artists EP featuring me and three other artists. Goldie then heard another track of mine he liked so it went to a MetalHeadz Platinum 12" single.

"I had to go in Hospital for a bit and while I was there I had my MacBook and half made Nil By Mouth. When I got out I finished it and Goldie signed it straight away and it just turned into an EP from after that."

So what about the other two tracks on the EP? "Continental Drift is probably the deepest track I've ever written and an edited version was used for a family members funeral last year. Captured was the final piece to finish the EP and is one of the tracks that I think people will be quite surprised I made."
