Renegade Hardware. DSCI4. ProgRAM. Demand. All have had releases from from DJ Fade at some point or another. He has gone in on a mix for us, and we had a quick chat with the Ukrainian music man.
Hey Fade, good to be talking to you. Talk to us about the mix you’ve got for us.
Hello, same for me. This mix is like a mirror of my current tastes in drum & bass. There is some fresh forthcoming stuff by myself, my friends and labels which supported me.
Why have you chosen to drop it for Kmag?
I am really into what you guys are doing and I think Kmag is one of best bass magazines atm. So that been easy choice for me.
What have been your major achievements over the last year?
All last year will be very busy in studio for me. I produced too much stuff so mostly it will see daylight just this year. But there is a few big achievements for me that I can mention. First that finally launched own output (Faded Music) where I am releasing own music and some collaborations with friends, already out 2 releases and 3rd is coming very soon.
Second that my track “Insider” been released on wax by Rooted Recordings and this year will out remix on it by Krakota.
You certainly seem to have had a wide range of releases, for a variety of labels – what are the key things for you in getting stuff together and getting it out there?
I am just trying to find good home to any of my tracks. But for now I am more interested to work just with close circle of labels. That not means that I will reject all other offers but as I told before that would be much easier for me.
What’s next for Fade?
I have pretty busy release schedule for this year. For example I have lined singles 12” for ProgRAM, IM:Ltd and 117 by mighty DJ TRACE. Also I get lined up releases on: Avantgarde, Grindhou5e, Demand and Flexout and that’s not all.
Also I am planning my first EU Tour on Autumn/Winter…
Be sure to catch the mix here.
