Believe it or not Formation was founded way back in 1990 by DJ SS and his partner Eidris and over the years has been home to artists like DJ Ratty, Influx Datum, John B, Jumping Jack Frost, Mutated Forms, Nero, Tango, Twisted Individual and Generation Dub.

Twenty years later and it's still going strong. Their next release is out in March and features a new track by SS on the A-side called We Came To Entertain. The flip features a Bladerunner relick of SS's Whitney Houston sampling classic from 1995, Black, that brings it bang up to date.

They're also celebrating their 20th anniversary with a massive event in their home town of Leicester on Saturday February 13th at Leicester University. They're billing as "the biggest electronic music night Leicester has seen", click here for full line-up details.
