Commix

Metalheadz are finally releasing the long awaited remix album of Commix's Call To Mind in October. Cunningly titled Re:Call To Mind, it features some of Commix's favourite techno, house, dubstep and drum & bass producers recording their own versions of tracks from the album. It's coming out on vinyl as a one-sided 12", two x double-pack 12", limited 10" and on CD.

In keeping with the album, the launch party on Friday 8th October features a line-up that is unlikely to be seen in one place again. From the pioneering techno productions of Berghain resident Marcel Dettman to the mood evoking sounds of Instra:mental and, of course, Commix themselves. Additional Re:Call To Mind collaborators Pangaea and Pedestrian complete the main room line-up.

East London record label and party Electric Minds host room two with Duffstep and Minkioni joining label founder Dolan Bergin.

The party takes place in loft spaces one and two of London's up-and-coming cross-arts centre, Rich Mix. A huge Funktion One sound system and full production will be installed in both rooms, which are fully sound proofed and noise restriction free.

Finally, Metalheadz are currently giving away three free Commix downloads on their Soundcloud page - enjoy!
