German drum & bass label Camino Blue Recordings have put together a futuristic compilation entitled Terra Mission, scheduled for release by early May.
Label boss Patrick Vollmari prides his label on pushing the boundaries of drum & bass music, and he explained to us how he believes the new compilation does exactly that.
"Terra Mission combines scientific influences of old, with a slice of modernity, creating a truly futuristic sound," he said.
"The album brings you 11 unmixed tracks from the likes of Electrosoul System, MAV, Physics and ICR," he added, "as well as a second CD, which delves deep into the Camino Blue crates with a continuous DJ mix of all things past and present from P.B.K. featuring vocals from Wiosna.
"We've developed an impressive roster at Camino Blue, with artists from all over the globe, so we're proud to be able to showcase some of their talent on the new album."
Patrick certainly has a lot in the pipeline, with the release of Sunchase's debut album entitled Static Nitro scheduled to follow the release of Terra Mission.
"We're all really excited about what 2010 has in store for us," he enthused, "we've been working on the selection for Terra Mission for a long time, and we couldn't be happier with the finished product.
"The track called Sputnik by Russia's Electrosoul System is a perfect example of what we're doing here. The tune takes old-school atmospherics, and fuses them with a new-school groove, to create something truly unique."
