Breakspoll

Breaks is in a pretty exciting place at the moment. The scene has definitely dipped back underground, but there's an incredibly impressive new generation of producers and DJs coming through at a frightening rate. We're talking about acts like 9B0, Farace, Left/Right, BSD, Eshericks, Karton, Gella and LuQas.

Many of the above will be playing at this year's Breakspoll event at London's Fabric nightclub on February 25, the annual celebration of all things breakbeat, which sees thousands vote for their favourite acts. The poll is the only international breaks awards around, and the night itself is always an apex of fantastic music, electric vibes and hugely up for it crowds.

Also on the bill this year are Future Funk Squad, who will surely be gunning for the best album award, booty breaks kings Deekline and the Beat Assassins, as well as some of the bigger names in breaks from years gone by, such as Krafty Kuts, Shut Up and Dance and Elite Force.

We can't recommend enough that you get yourselves down to Fabric, and to whet your appetites for what will be an awesome night, here are a couple of mixes from some of the acts involved.

So what are you waiting for? If you're in the UK, or fancy a trip over, grab your tickets now for this one and don't forget to get voting for your favourite acts.
