Native Instruments X1 Kontrol

Now knee-deep in the crowded hardware market, Native Instruments continue to stand out with their stylish innovations.

Traktor Kontrol X1 is a compact hardware controller that enables easy access to Native Instruments' flagship DJ software Traktor Pro.

Looping, effects, track loading ... now it can all be done without the need for dragging and clicking your mouse.

The Kontrol X1 is compatible with other DJ software, or any software that accepts MIDI commands.

Traktor Kontrol X1 features a total of 30 buttons, four push encoders and eight knobs arranged in effects, browse, loop and transport sections:

Two controller overlays for alternative mappings/assignments are included with Kontrol X1: one for Serato Scratch Live, and one blank overlay for marking your own assignments. The unit is fully customisable, and user presets can be downloaded from the NI community site.

Advanced features include: adjustable LED brightness for daylight and dark situations; button-off glow for reading in pitch back; multi-colour backlights including orange, green and white; a calibration wizard that precisely defines the mid-point of each knob, and hot pluggability in Traktor (so you can connect and disconnect without any crashes).
