Drum & bass and dubstep producers could be interested in the latest dub reggae sample pack on Loopmasters, by Mad Professor [his MySpace pictures truly are ... mad], called Reel to Reel Reggae.
The Loopmasters website provides a brief bio on the man, if you're not up to speed:
A disciple of Lee "Scratch" Perry, Mad Professor was one of the leading producers in dub reggae's second generation. As his reputation grew, Mad Professor became a remixer of choice for adventurous rock and techno acts, most notably revamping Massive Attack's entire second album under the new title No Protection.
The Mad Prof' has broken down all aspects of dub into individual samples and tracks for use in your sequencer, on the latest Loopmasters download.
Inside can be found 450 authentic, royalty-free reggae samples, including 315 loops and 140 single-hit sounds. More specifically, the 665 MB clip contains 50+ bass lines, 89 drum loops, 33 drum fills, 50 single drum hits, 60+ musical stabs and 80+ dusty musical loops; dub pianos, synths, flutes and guitars. Apple Loop, Ableton or REX versions are also available, and are easily selectable via a drop-down menu on the Loopmasters site.
If you're interested, you can listen to, and download free samples from Mad Professor's Reel to Reel Reggae here.

Mad Professor RRP: £24.95.
