Up-and-coming drum & bass producers Eros and Dirrrty B certainly have a lot on their plates as we head in to the depths of 2010, and they've produced an exclusive Kmag mix to showcase just a handful of the tracks they have coming out soon.

Labels such as Vibez, Future Thinkin' and LTJ Bukem's Good Looking Records are all set to unleash a number of their tunes, who now go by the name Blue Motion.

Eros also runs his own labels, Influenza Media and Influenza Minus, which are both also set to release an abundance of Blue Motion's beats between now and April.

As if this wasn't enough to keep him busy, the Belgium-based producer has recently seen the birth of his baby girl, making for an exciting start to the year, to say the least.

"We've got so much going on at the moment," he stated, before explaining his recent collaboration with Slovakian counterpart, Dirrrty B. "After doing a dozen or so tracks together, we decided to create a project under name Blue Motion.

"We did a couple of tracks under this name and got signed to Good Looking Records and Dutch imprint Fokuz Recordings," he continues. "We could obviously use Influenza Media to put our stuff out there too."

The duo are convinced that this could be their year, and with such a lively start, who could blame them?

The second half of Blue Motion, Dirrrty B is satisfied that the exclusive Kmag mix, is a demonstration of the talent driving Blue Motion forward. "Preparation is the key," he stated, "we always prepare the tracks thoroughly before any mix.

"When playing live you need some variations in your mind, as you're playing for the crowd, but when recording something like this, you can achieve exactly what you want by preparing it properly. The mix contains a lot of forthcoming tunes on Influenza Minus, with some nice stuff from ASC, Triad and Consequence thrown in there."

It has been a long journey for the pair, who have witnessed nearly 20 years of change in electronic music, experimenting with different genres and styles along the way.

"I started producing in the early 90s," recalled Dirrrty B, "I was only 14-years-old, so I've seen a lot of change in my time. I started DJing with techno and house music, but eventually found drum & bass.

"I took a break from it in 2004 as my son was born, but since then my heart and soul has been all about drum & bass," he stated emphatically.

His production partner, Eros was a little earlier on the scene.

"I started DJing in 1994, mixing genres like hard-tech, break-core, acid-core and variants," he recalls.

"In 1996 a friend took me to a drum & bass party, and from that moment onwards I guess you could say I was hooked," he said, before looking to the future. "I have taken a step back from DJing since my baby girl was born, I want to focus more on the production side of things, as well as Influenza."

Also look out for forthcoming collaborations with the likes of Paul SG, Mutt and soulTec.
