I distinctly remember the very first time I heard this. It knocked me on my ass. With stoned tom toms punctuating a swirling, whirling two note pad and evil, warped bass tones smothering the whole thing in darkness, this 1996 masterpiece from Ed Rush really delves deep into the psyche.

Noted for its play on subtle changes over an extended period as opposed to alternate chunks of sound, with Nico at the desk this couldnt have failed. Released on Grooverider's Prototype label at a key point in D&B history, this is proof positive that of all the producers making a progressive change in the scene at the time, Ed Rush was one of the pivotal members.
