Clipse

Say hi to US hip-hop album of the year.

Clipse's first album - Lord Willin' - was an undisputed critical success and featured production by the Neptunes at the top of their game.

Grindin' was a classic single, from that release.

Their next LP - Hell Hath No Fury - released some years afterwards (due to Clipse apparently getting stuck in limbo and screwed by their record company) was very progressive and another critical success.

An underwhelming concert in London hurt their image for me, but whatever the cold reality of being a mid-level rapper in the US is, no one can doubt them when it comes to releasing a quality album with Pharrell on the boards.

Til The Casket Drops is better than Clipse's second album, and is noteworthy because it sees the Neptunes finally return to form after a few years of underwhelming productions.

This is tight material from the US; snap it up.
