Palladium Boots x Pirate Radio

OK, it's history time kids. The nineties were large for a few things; illegal raves, Nike Air Max, pirate radio and Palladium Boots. Remember them?

Founded in 1920 to make aircraft tyres, Palladium switched to making hard-wearing boots in 1947 when WWII ended and demand for tyres dried up. Palladium became a boot company and then outfitters to the French Foreign Legion with their classic Pampa boot.

Over 60 years later, their signature boots are still ready for explorers the world over. To celebrate, Palladium laced up their boots and went exploring, over London's rooftops to discover illegal pirate radio antennae and hidden studios.

Palladium filmed a documentary, taking a look at the anti-aircraft towers in the Thames-mouth where it all began in the 1960s. Today, the internet is changing the face of pirate radio, but the stations' role of breaking new music still remains the same.
