We've got the ball rolling here at Knowledge with a tasty mix for all steppers and electronica heads. Manchester's bass kingpin MRK1 has kindly given us an exclusive mix for you to get your head around.
Not only has he been an intergral part of The Virus Syndicate, but he's also clocked up releases on Tempa, Soulja, Vehicle, Rephelx, Polydor, Wall of Sound, Texture, Techonic, Earwax, Terra Rhythm and an album on Planet Mu to name a few.
His new mix is a nice, accessible snapshot into the sounds that dubstep and grime form - a precursor to his new label Contagious. It's had 20 releases from himself and from the likes of Skream, Plastician, Chimpo, Sizzla, Jack Sparrow, Virus Syndicate and Oris Jay.
Contagious is an international record label that has gained recognition across the world from both the buying public and the media. Check the blog again very soon for an exclusive track that this upstanding gentleman will be proffering for us - until then, feel that chest wobble!
