Following on from the massive Coopers Dream, drum & bass label Coded presents the next release by Phobia, Jubei & Sato, Atlas. Coded label boss Phobia tells us all about it...
Tell us more about your forthcoming single on Coded, what did you have in mind when you made the tracks...
I've just recently moved studios and combined mine and Sato's gear together and these two tracks were the first two we finished in the new studio. Jubei still has family up here so he came up shortly after we moved and we did Atlas in one night. Jitter was something Sato had been working on for a few weeks just to give the studio a test out but we thought it came out really well. We have a lot of hardware, so bringing everything together was cool, there's a lot of hardware used in both tracks which is nice as so many tracks these days are computer based.
What else have you been working on recently?
Just more music for Coded really, the next 12" is done and ready to go and some more collaborations are in the pipeline. I've also just recently finished a remix of Killa Bees for Renegade Hardware and will hopefully be doing a 12" for them this year.
Got any other releases in the pipeline we should look out for?
The next Coded release after Atlas should be out in the spring, both tracks are by myself - Polaroid which features a local vocalist called Zoe Hakin and Severance. The Killa Bees remix is on a remix EP on Hardware at some point this year and hopefully I can get a 12" done for Hardware before the end of the year. Ingredients have also taken a couple of tracks that should be out fairly soon.
Anything else you want to tell us about?
