Various - Sequence Two EP [Critical Music]
With some of the most future thinking releases to hit the shelves in a long time, the powerhouse that is Critical Music is back with another heavyweight EP. Featuring some of the label's top talent alongside label boss Kasra to make up the 'Sequence Two' EP delivers a bass-heavy offering of future drum & bass that will stand the test of time.

Stand out tunes are Kasra & Enei's 'So Real' which rumbles in the low end, with a devastating drop and bassline, along with a supremely deep remix of Enei & Riya's 'No Fear' courtesy of the mighty Spectrasoul, this EP is a big one for this month and not to be missed.

Calyx & TeeBee - Scavenger / Stepping Stones [RAM Records]
Having an absolutely relentless year, Calyx & TeeBee show why they've been true pioneers of the neuro sound with this brand new release on the mighty RAM Records. 'Scavenger' has absolutely top class production, with a nice deep a rolling vibe to accompany the heavy neuro bassline and techy soundscapes. The flipside, 'Stepping Stones', is also a lovely dose of neurofunk infusion with an almost liquid and jazzy undertone, really loving the vibes on this as well. Big time release from two dons of drum & bass, highly recommended!

Heavy1 - Minimlaized LP [Rubik Records]
After a break-out year in 2011, Japan based producer Heavy1 teams up with the ever-popular Rubik Records to put out his first LP, and the first album on Rubik in many years. The 'Minimlaized' LP is a well balanced, intelligent, futuristic take on this style of music we've come to expect from Heavy1, with tunes like 'Diehard' that drop in heavy and armed for the dancefloor, to tracks like 'Fear The Satellites' which show off Heavy1's neurofunk flex, laying down dome serious future dnb vibes.

This LP caters to all electronic music fans, with emphasis on drum & bass, but also throwing a proper dose of deep and intelligent dubstep, and off tempo bits in the tracklist as well, top quality LP right here, most definitely worth a listen.

Lenzman - How Did I Let You Go (ft. Riya) / Wordsworth [Metalheadz]
The super soul of the mighty Lenzman touches down again, this time of the legendary Metalheadz imprint, with a phenomenal two-track single. The a-side 'How DId I Let You Go' features Lenzman's vocalist of choice, Riya on vox, delivering chilled grooves, summertime vibes and smooth vocals for a well rounded Summer playlist staple. The flipside is no slouch either, 'Wordsworth' follows the signature Lenzman vibe, with deep basslines, soulful vocal samples, and intelligent soundscapes.

Mr. Explicit - Tear Tha Roof Off EP [Directors Cut]
With their very first release hitting the masses, the Directors Cut imprint comes out swinging with a four track EP from the longtime Dread UK namesake, Mr. Explicit. This EP is very well rounded, with something for everyone from jungle, future soul, to full on tear-out drum & bass.

Notable tunes would have to be 'Tear Tha Roof Off' which should do exactly that on the dancefloor with an absolutely crushing bassline and neurofunk vibe, to more jungle influenced cuts like 'Forgotten Nights' which rolls out the heavyweight bass and big room vibes. Really good EP here from a label and producer that's just getting started, lookout!

Technicolour, Komatic & LSB - Rotary Motion / Serendipity [Integral]
Another incredible release here from the dynamic duo that is Technicolour & Komatic, this time teaming up with LSB for a slice of liquid dnb bliss. Just in time for Summer, this trio of talent delivers the goods and big vibes in a-side 'Rotary Motion' with  a huge bassline, crisp samples and ready to set the tempo in any primetime DJ set.

The flipside 'Serendipity' is far from a B-side, with an absolutely rolling vibe and feel, top class bass-work, soulful samples and a super classy piano line to round out the tune. Five-star release here from some of the best in the game right now, highly recommended!

Fracture ft. Dawn Day Night - Get Down To The Funky Beat / Get Busy [Exit]
Some call it autonomic, some call it drum & bass, and some may even refer to it as "trap music", to us, this fresh release from Fracture is just plain good. With a brand new single on dBridge's Exit Records imprint, Fracture delivers two next level tunes with a sound all their own.

'Get Busy' features Dawn Day Night on vox and a smashing, bass-heavy, super unique tune with supreme potential to storm into any top ten list. Not to be outdone by its counterpart, flipside 'Get Down To The Funky Beat' hits a line drive with its techy and glitchy soundscapes, delivering yet another completely diverse sounding release from a record label who has really pushed the boundaries this year, don't miss this one!

Optiv & BTK - Dirty Tricks LP [Virus]
Extra large LP project here from Ed Rush & Optical's legendary Virus Recordings! Serious heavy pressure here from Optiv & BTK, teaming up to bring the masses a dark, but undeniably intelligent LP entitled 'Dirty Tricks'.

With a heavy dose of smacking beats and basslines, and just relentless vibes all the way through, the stand-out tunes would have to be the smashing 'Don't Need You', with its epic breakdown, storming basslines and super clean production, to tracks like 'Let Yourself Go' that's armed and ready to tear down any dancefloor across the globe. The creative minds behind this project hit the nail on the head for any heavyweight, neurofunk fan, if that's you this is a must-have.

Various - The Crossfire EP [Mac 2 Digital]
Back with another great v/a EP here on Randall's Mac 2 Digital imprint, this EP delivers a very well rounded, diverse tracklist of tunes that can fit any playlist. From the heavy, bass fuelled, drum attack of Jem One's 'Day After', to a smoother, rolling vibe courtesy of Physic's 'Feel Me Gone', this EP has something to offer every drum & bass fan.

Stand out tune for me would have to be Florida native Jaybee's 'Truth', which personifies the upfront drum & bass sound we've really see develop recently with sweeping basslines, smooth and eerie samples and an overall clean production from back to front. Really good stuff here from Mac 2, check it out!

Acousticks - Stargazing EP [Offworld]
An absolute trip down memory lane with this stellar release from new-comer Acousticks out now on Offworld Recordings. Lovely vibes here on this EP, featuring timeless atmospheric soundscapes from the title track 'Stargazing' as well as the airy and intelligent vibe of 'Cozmoz'. To add some nice flavours in the tracklist, make sure to check out 'Lost Out Way', delivering the classic Amen sounds with some light and mellow vibes to round it out. Great EP, solid production from start to finish, highly recommended!
