We've been putting on events at Cafe 1001 in London since 2005 and in that time we've had some big events but none bigger than our next one, Kmag Presents...  Payback Season Movie Soundtrack on Friday February 24th. DJing on the night are Mampi Swift, Uncle Dugs and Jason Kaye and the best bit entry is still FREE all night!

Payback Season is a movie from Danny Donnelly, the man responsible for legendary label Suburban Base and the Pure compilation series. He's written and directed Payback Season, in cinemas from March 9th, and, as you would expect, the soundtrack features plenty of drum & bass and dubstep from artists like Chase & Status, Subfocus, Nero and Jakwob, while Harry Shotta & Original Sin are recording the theme song.

We asked Danny for a few words on each of the DJs on the line-up and why he wanted them to play...

"Jason Kaye wrote the music score for the Payback Season movie," Danny replies. "Jason is an old friend since Top Buzz days through to his amazing career in the garage scene as DJ and producer. He had an association with my Pure Garage album brand for years and I also put together a Garage Nation branded album release for him some years ago too.

"Mampi Swift was signed to my label Suburban Base back in the day, and went on to establish himself as one of the biggest DJs ever to emerge from the D&B scene. We remain good friends and it's lovely to be able to still continue to support each other, because of that having Swift involved with the project reflects my past and my future.

"Uncle Dugs is included to represent my roots, he has established himself as the premier old skool presenter with his show on Rinse FM. For me it's quite a journey coming from the original rave scene to now directing movies, I fully appreciate where I came from and how I started this journey. You can expect a killer old skool set with lots of Suburban Base classics from Uncle Dugs."
