Autumn has landed with a bang, and summer shenanigans are on the way out, but dance-inclined bass heads need not despair, for In:Motion is back with a vengeance, purveying a bewildering variety of fantastic music for your ears, brains and feet.
Friday October 5th sees Hessle Audio taking over Bristol's grand old skatepark, and bringing a stellar line-up headlined by Kieran Hebden, aka Four Tet. A DJ to be reckoned with, Hebden's esoteric, eclectic and exciting tastes make him a fascinating and unpredictable selector – if you're looking for the latest bangers you'll probably be disappointed, but if you're looking to be treated to sounds you're unlikely to have heard before, lovingly put together by one of modern electronic music's brightest lights, then you're in for a treat.
Joining Hebden in the main room will be Hessle's Pearson Sound and Ben UFO, along with Pangaea, Legowelt and Joe (who recently released the brilliantly odd MB / Studio Power on Hemlock).
Tunnel business, meanwhile, is curated by Bristol institution Idle Hands, and the list is no less mouthwatering. Topping the bill is producer, conductor, DJ and neuroscientist Floating Points, whose top-class mixing skills and enviable collection of funk, soul, disco, house and techno ensure an absolute treat of a set. You can also look forward to fellow Eglo Records bod Alexander Nutt, Idle Hands' Chris Farrell, Bristol's Kelly Twins and Shanti Celeste.
Fun-loving, forward-thinking, genre-defying, foot-stomping. Come on down!
