Friday 18th March at London's Fabric sees the launch of David Kennedy's new mix for the 56th installment of the famous Fabriclive series. The night boasts an impressive line up featuring some of the biggest names in the underground music scene. All the rooms have such a wide array of talent that they by themselves could easily provide enough entertainment for a Friday night.
David Kennedy, aka Ramadanman and Pearson Sound, is a prolific producer who released some of the most innovative tracks of 2010 along with a fantastic album and he is sure to set fabric alight with his scintillating productions. Even though he has been releasing brilliantly constructed tunes for a while now, 2010 really saw him come into his own. His Fabriclive mix contains a lot of his own material and new unreleased tracks, from the likes of Addison Groove and Elgato, which we can expect to hear on the night.
Also featuring in room one are some of the main men in a thriving UK bass scene. Digital Mystikz's Mala goes back to back with Bristol badman Pinch in what is a truly mouth-watering prospect for all dubstep heads. The DMZ and Tectonic label owners will no doubt fill the room with booming bass driven beats.
Room one also contains Ramadanman's fellow Hessle Audio owners Ben UFO and Pangaea. Ben UFO is one of the most sought after DJs and his abilities see him effortlessly mix a variety of bpms from his vast collection of records. Pangaea, on the back of another fantastic release on Hessle Audio, always provides sets with tunes that will make everybody want to dance.
Joy O, who has been going from strength since his anthem Hyph Mngo in 2009, is yet another big name to DJing in room one. Midland, Ramadanman's recent production partner, is the final act in room one and if his recent fact mix is anything to go by you won't want to miss him.
Room two features some of dnb's oldest and newest talents. From veterans DJ Die and Total Science to recent scene destroyers Spectrasoul, Jubei and Kasra, so expect to hear roaring basslines all night long. This room will not be for the lighthearted.
Room three features Autonomic label heads dBridge and Instra:mental alongside Eglo boss Alexander Nut and former Spacek member Morgan Zarate, who has been producing for a long time but only recently has started to get the acclaim he deserves. This room will be hosted producer / MC SP:MC.
This night has so many reasons for people to attend and anyone who follows the UK bass will know this kind of line up doesn't come around very often. This is a night not to be missed.
