If you felt like summer was over already, think again, as this weekend sees the East Ender festival crew take over Village Undergound in London's Shoreditch for one last hip-hop and bass music rinse out.
Spanning three exciting days this new micro-festival will pay homage to east London's artistic heart and soul, celebrating all the area has to offer with musical legends rubbing shoulders with emerging talent.
Bass heads shouldn't be disappointed, with Cooly G of Hyperdub and UKG/Electro/Tech act Drums Of Death kicking off on Friday. If you know about hip-hop, you won't want to miss MF Doom's new project with Jneiro Jarel, JJ Doom, headlining Saturday, alongside 19 Long Time UK legend Blak Twang. Sunday's headliner is the undisputable king of Notting Hill Carnival, Norman Jay.
If you fancy taking a break from the music, there will be an open air art gallery, with local artists producing live alfresco installations from street art to sculpture.
All in all it's set to be a big weekend, and with tickets from just £15, it's hard to say no to jamming out to some afternoon reggae with a plate of jerk chicken in hand one last time before winter starts creeping up.
Gates are open 1pm-4am all weekend except on Sunday when things wrap up at 1am.
East Ender Festival is at Village Underground, 54 Hollywell Lane, EC2A 3PQ from September 21-23. Tickets from £15. For more info or to buy tickets visit eastenderldn.co.uk
