Ninja Tune are proud to present a highlight of their 20th anniversary celebrations by inviting back The Cinematic Orchestra three years on from their last show at the Royal Albert Hall. But this being the 20th anniversary of Ninja Tune they have something a little extra special - The London Metropolitan Orchestra plus electronic music legend Amon Tobin presenting a one-off orchestral performance AND the prodigious Dorian Concept.
The London Metropolitan Orchestra worked with The Cinematic Orchestra on the score for the movie Crimson Wing and performed with them at the Roundhouse for the films Entr'acte and Manhatta. This growing collaboration will reach its head at the Royal Albert Hall, where TCO and LMO will combine to offer reinterpreatations from across the whole of the Cinematic's catalogue.
In addition Amon Tobin has been working with the London Metropolitan Orchestra to present a set of some of his classic material placed in an orchestral setting - a process that we're sure is going to yield exciting results.
Dorian Concept is one of the most exciting producer/musicians currently working in electronic music, his fusion of jazz, electronics, rave etc is as exciting as it is unique. His set for this Royal Albert Hall show will be with an ensemble including The Cinematic Orchestra's saxophonist Tom Chant and members of the LMO.
Tickets are on sale now.
