Mr Penfold - Samebridge from the frontroom on Vimeo.

Mr Penfold is an artist who makes paintings, installations, prints and drawings. The paintings have strong linear elements. These are gracefully drawn outlines which work both with (and against) the ground. Much of the work features people he has observed in bars and pubs. He uses screenprints, woodcuts and etching to make his prints. This is a natural extension of the work he does in a professional printmaking studio where he works with many well known artists.

He has a couple of forthcoming shows where you can check out his art and even see him working in the flesh.

The first is called Samebridge in his hometown of Cambridge on Friday February 26th. Putting his perfectionist skills to good use (and his trusted colour wheel), Mr Penfold intends to make The Frontroom hum with lines of clashimentary colour.

Meanwhile Saturday March 27th sees a show at Montana Shop, Nottingham. Mr Penfold is no stranger to Nottingham as he has been seen doing his thing at the Subism Live nights but this will be his first show in the city. He'll be gracing the shop's windows with his pens and drawing live through out the day for you all to enjoy.
