You've heard of pop-up books, pop-up TVs maybe even pop-up shops, but pop-up bars? Ya mad! This is exactly what the CIA, Mothership Group and Pirates creative crew have come up with though..
Pop Up Pirates is a crack a lackin' new bar in Clerkenwell, London, opening on the 19th May. The creative takeover is a totally styled-out, wile-out sensory assault.
The space being used is an old printing factory, once specialising in silver lithography. So it's been transformed into a pop art print shop installation, with 3D reams of paper, mock printing presses and colourful lettering. There's even some giant blackboards in the toilets for people to practise their own calligraphy!
Mothership Group, the guys behind The Book Club and the Queen of Hoxton, are keeping tabs on the drinks side of business (which is probably for the best) and it will run for three months.
If you want to come down to the opening night, RSVP is essential, to: info@centralillustration.com
