Banner specifications

Here are the specifications you should consider when submitting a banner to us.

Accepted file types: swf / gif / jpg. If submitting a flash file, please also submit an image (JPG or GIF) to be served in case the user does not have flash installed.

Maximum banner size 40k.

Please do not hard code in any URL's, supply link information separately.

Newsletter banner

 We can accept .gif or .jpg banners for display in the weekly newsletter. Check the most recent newsletter here.

Using advertisements with sound

Audio must be one click away. Sounds / video in the ads must be user-triggered. No ads with sound starting automatically will be accepted. All audio must be user-initiated on_click; a clear on / off or mute button must be present (initially off).

Our specs follow standard IAB guidelines. Please note that some banners may not be accepted if they are found to be disruptive to users.

Phoenix Publishing is entitled at its absolute discretion to reject or exclude any advertisement submitted or previously accepted to run on the website.
